Vietnam Holiday Idea – Hanoi and Halong Bay

Moving up the globe… Vietnam. Who couldn’t just fall in love with the Vietnamese people? Humble, accommodating folk with rich traditions and stunning landscapes. Having been to Halong Bay and Hanoi myself already, this trip was an easy pick to make. Hanoi is an amazing mix of colour and life. Great little coffee bars and eateries and truly alive with a vibrant buzz and energy. Contrast that with the beautiful serene islands and community of  Halong bay and you have a winning contrast of extremes.

Thailand Holiday Idea – Phuket to Koh Phi Phi

Heading west, the next stop is Thailand. I visited Bangkok a few years back on my way home to the UK but didn’t get round to seeing Thailand’s  coastal charms so I’ve gone for a trip that has those aspects as more of a focus. This one sounds just idyllic and could be just the ticket for  folk  looking for 4 days of down time.

Ride Bikes and Eat Tapas In Spain

If you did the Italy trip, you’d be pleased to know that you could grab a quick 2 hour snooze on a flight to Spain. I chose this trip because having ate all that pasta and vino, my waistline might have grown somewhat, so a perfect antidote would be this bike ride around Northern Spain. You get a 21-speed mountain bike with helmet and you need to be fairly fit and active (maybe that counts me out)  but it’s a decent price and makes a general change from the standard sit on a beach for 7 days  type holiday.
